Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist with proven experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room procedures. The ideal candidate will support surgical teams during complex cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and patient safety protocols. This role requires in-depth knowledge of OR procedures, anatomy, physiology, and hospital systems, particularly within Level I and Level II trauma centers or ambulatory surgery centers. The CVOR Surgical Technologist will play a critical role in facilitating efficient surgical workflows and maintaining high standards of infection control and patient care.

Responsibilities
Provides expert perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation.
Assists surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies efficiently and accurately.
Functions as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures.
Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory.
Demonstrates knowledge and practice of perioperative patient care concepts; demonstrates the ability to perform independently as first scrub in assigned specialty areas.
Provides support for readiness and flow of cases to facilitate overall functioning of the unit, performing assigned duties as needed.
Verifies functioning and adequate availability of supplies/instruments/equipment prior to the surgical procedure as indicated by the surgeon’s preference card and other available resources; demonstrates the application of the principles of asepsis in a knowledgeable manner that provides for optimal patient care in the OR.
Uses knowledge/expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff.

Requirements
Certified Surgical Tech through the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Please include candidate CST# and expiration date.
Two (2) years of CVOR experience as a surgical technologist Required
Have an updated resume – job history dates and units worked in must be accurate.

Pay
Salaries range from $54,300 to $83,300
There are variables that would place a candidate with a job profile of I, II, or III.
These variables include conversions and years of experience.
The projected salary as well as added sign-on bonus, and night shift differential (if applicable) will be discussed further.
